Portland's HR Best Practices Series: Employee and Labor Relations (March 17, 2010)

The Employee and Labor Relations Best Practices segment encompasses a broad range of concepts, practices, behaviors and objectives which include: Equal employment opportunity; fairness and consistency in the treatment of employees; effective communications between management and employees; documentation of employment actions; recordkeeping as required by law and practice; complaint resolution processes; managerial and employee training; and overall "best employment practices." The success of the organization is dependent on a solid employee and Labor Relations platform as it will assist in the management of recruiting, screening, hiring, training, compensation, assessing, coaching, counseling, disciplining and terminating employees.
